Geneveve™ by Viveve®
For women more concerned with what’s on the inside than out, Geneveve™ by Viveve® offers a revolutionary vaginal tightening treatment that can improve physical pleasure and intimacy without surgery or downtime. Vaginal laxity is a common response to life events like childbirth, menopause, natural aging, weight fluctuations and changing hormones. By stimulating your body’s natural production of collagen, this treatment can tighten and tone vaginal muscles and tissue for a new, more confident you.
As a top female plastic surgeon, Dr. Jennifer Harrington and her team are proud to offer women a safe and effective option for nonsurgical feminine rejuvenation. Her expertise in gynecological plastic surgery combined with her sensitive approach to women’s needs make her the go-to surgeon in the Twin Cities for vaginal tightening treatments.

Why Consider Geneveve™
Your vagina is constantly changing, much like the rest of your body. While some of those changes may be welcome, a loss of vaginal tightness can mean decreased sensation during intercourse, urinary stress incontinence and a loss of confidence when it comes to your most sensitive parts.
Some of the most common reasons women consider Geneveve™ include:
- Looseness of the vaginal canal results in a loss of sexual pleasure
- Weakened pelvic muscles contribute to urinary stress incontinence
- Excess pads of fatty tissue around the vaginal opening lead to discomfort or self-consciousness
Now available in Europe, Canada, and most recently, the U.S., this one-time, 30-minute procedure requires no downtime and can improve vaginal tightness for up to 1 year, bringing you back to your pre-pregnancy state in one of the places that can matter the most. Women with pacemakers or defibrillators should not have Geneveve™ treatments.
Depending on your anatomy and goals, Dr. Harrington may recommend additional treatments to address your concerns. Labiaplasty can be combined with Geneveve™ treatments to resize the vaginal lips for a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing shape. Clitoral hood reduction can also improve access to the clitoris for a greater increase in intimacy. Hormone balancing therapy can also complement Geneveve™ treatments by restoring your hormone levels and combating side effects of menopause.
Your Geneveve™ Procedure
Before your consultation, please fill out our Geneveve™ by Viveve® Patient Intake Form and bring it with you to your appointment.
Your Geneveve™ consultation and treatment will be performed by Dr. Harrington along with her certified plastic surgery nurse or physician assistant. During the procedure itself, a special device will emit cryogen-cooled monopolar radiofrequency waves (CMRF) to gently heat the deeper layers of vaginal tissue and muscle while maintaining the surface at a comfortable, cool temperature. These pulses of controlled heating stimulate collagen fibers within the tissue, skin and muscle, creating a natural tightening and toning effect.
The Geneveve™ treatment requires no local or general anesthesia. The entire process only takes about 30 minutes, during which you should feel comfortable and can even nap or read a magazine. You may feel a slight warming sensation during treatment, which may feel like a gentle massage.
Geneveve™ treatments are performed at our state-of-the-art office in Plymouth. While results should sustain themselves, additional changes in the body can cause some vaginal laxity to return. Therefore, Dr. Harrington may recommend that you have a touch-up treatment once a year.
Because Geneveve™ treatments require no incisions, anesthetic or medications, you can return to your normal routine immediately after your appointment. The procedure should not result in any noticeable changes in odor or discharge. You may resume your normal physical activities, including sexual intimacy.
Most women notice results from Geneveve™ after about 30 days following treatment. Your results should continue to improve over about 3 months. A single treatment is usually sufficient, but Dr. Harrington will help you determine whether a second treatment may be recommended after assessing your results at 90 days.
Once your final results have developed, you should notice an improvement in vaginal tightness, lubrication and arousal. Urinary stress incontinence may also improve or resolve entirely. Most women also report feeling significantly more confident during intimacy and an increase in overall sexual satisfaction after getting Geneveve™ treatments.
At Harrington + Associates Plastic Surgery, we make your personal comfort and confidence our top priority, and we take pride in helping each woman to feel her absolute best. For help deciding whether Geneveve™ may be right for you, please call us at 651-290-7600 or contact us online.
